Eventually want to use it as a tool for the teachers and students to create discussions in literacy, math, etc. Chris is willing to work with me so we want to experiment between each other first.
Yes, Cathy asked me if I would be interested in possibly blogging with other schools in the district about a book we all read, "Number the Stars." I thought it sounded like a great idea!
I am excited to get comfortable blogging and look forward to having the kids blog.
Here is an example that I found-Mrs. Midlarsky's Blog
Hello readers. As we begin our new novel please take a moment to view the link in this post. The information and pictures provided are from a Holocaust survivor who was friends with Anne Franke. Anne Franke became world known after her diary about the Holocaust was found many years after her death. Please add a comment or share a connection you may have about this article. http://teacher.scholastic.com/frank/hanneli.htm
Why should we blog? Look at the following link http://www.teachertube.com/view_video.php?viewkey=be6ec9b852b0a542e2f3&page=1&viewtype=&category= The better question is how can we not?
I having been blogging for about 2 years through a support board sponsored by March of Dimes for families with infants in the NICU. The thing I love is discussions can happen anytime, anywhere. I am reading the book Ida B has anyone ever used it with their students??
Whenever I have a question about a topic, I always resort to reading blogs to hear what other people have to say. It's the real deal...hearing the opinions from people around the world. It's a great way to broaden students' horizons.
I am a technology teacher for Parkview Elementary School in Westville, NJ. The school houses approximately 400 PreK-6th grade students and is located in Gloucester County.
